5 Still a Little Worried
But sometimes, he gets worried about whether the week on the camp will be as good as mom, and he believes and hopes.

This is an orderly camp with strict and definite rules that everyone has to follow. And everyone in the staff is trained in different ways to take care of children in the best way. Children who feel and have felt bad.
But sometimes, as I said, Viktor gets worried, and he already longs for home to his mother.
And before he got on the bus in Skövde, she was as determined as tough on him. He had two choices to choose from: either he travels alone without her, or she accompanies him. To go to a camp with lots of other children – he would. There was no talk of that.
6 Tears and Anxiety
Every now and then, Viktor has to wipe a tear from his eye. And he feels a huge anxiety before this week.
They will bully him – like at school and at home in the yard.
They, the bullies, usually say fatso, glasses-snake, sluggish-brain, mother pig, fool, idiot, brain dead, disturbed bastard, who also knows nothing … and millions of other horrible things.
They all, the bullies, must hate him.
Though he has not done them, or anyone else, any harm – not a single small time. And he knows that for sure.
More tears are coming.
What he wants to be at home with mom now.
Although it’s not possible. And she has decided like this, that he should be at the camp.
HAS A STUPID DAD
7 Horrors
Viktor, bus
Viktor has experienced horrors back home that no one, to say the least, a child should have to experience.
Dad has for many years systematically insulted and depressed mom. And sometimes, he has beaten her. On several occasions, it has been extra bad.
And Viktor has been forced to watch when this hell has been going on – until the day when the police came and picked up Dad. It was a neighbor who heard the beating and immediately called the police.
3 Has Promised to Behave
Actually, it was against all rules and principles, to let Adrian be on the camp.
But it was his situation, with a criminal background, and a piss-poor home relationship, but above all, he has behaved so well only from day one at the youth home, which made him now get this chance.
He needs to feel that there are people who believe in him. And who also like him.
He needs to learn and understand that one cannot, must not buy oneself into friendship, success, and happiness, by cracking down and robbing others.
It is not okay to beat someone down, steal their valuables, and then use this criminal property to buy into others, to gain the appreciation and approval of others.
Although this criminal path is now completely broken and, as I said, since more than a year ago.

4 The Police Came

And the last two boys, whom he beat down, and then stole their jackets, trousers, and shoes, they did not get much beating except that one of them got a knocked out front tooth and cracked lip. And, of course, both got some real bruises.
It happened at a park, in the spring, and the boys had to go home half-naked.
Their clothes and shoes, of exclusive and expensive brands, Adrian had intended to sell cheaply to someone he knows, who is a couple of years older than himself.
But when the police came to his house, and he was taken to the police station for questioning, then, of course, the boys got their clothes and shoes back.
And his mother loses custody of her beloved son.
After his stay at the youth home, he will have to move home to a foster family. This family is not determined yet, and it can be anywhere in all of Sweden.
And, of course, his mother feels totally unsuccessful, both now and in the past. Not least because she has not been able to steer and prevent her beloved son’s criminal path, which started several years earlier.
Adrian was thirteen years old when the latest assault happened, but his criminal career started, as I said, already when he was ten years old.
5 No Real Adults
And there are no real adults he likes very much, except his mother, whom he looks up to and respects.
Sure, he respects his teachers and other adults he meets, but none of them he directly looks up to, so to speak.
No, they are all more or less idiots.
However, it is clear … the police … he looks up to and respects them on a very special level.
For the police are tough and brave. They hunt down murderers and other horrible criminals in society.
When they come home to a tough thirteen-year-old boy, then he also knows that now it’s serious.
And the police you should, or you must not quarrel with – because then everything will only get worse than it was before they arrived.
He has understood so much, and for a long time.
But if you still dare to quarrel with a police officer – well, then you are pretty fucked then.
He also usually watches various TV shows that are about catching murderers and other horrible types. For killers, he thinks are extra scary types. They, if anyone, should be locked up in jail.
